How can we help?
Answers to common questions about Ridge and Ridge+, and how to get in touch.
Frequently asked questions
How does Ridge work?
Choose a ski area, pick the runs you want to ski, and Ridge plans a route that links them up with the right lifts. Then follow it on the map, one lift and one run at a time. Time estimates adjust to the skill level you choose.
Which ski areas are supported?
We build and check our own maps for every ski area, and we add new ones regularly. Open the ski area list in the app to see what's available today.
Want your ski area added? Email us at Ridge.Maps@outlook.com.
Does Ridge work offline?
Run and lift data are free to download for every ski area and are stored on your phone. With Ridge+ you can also download offline maps, so the map keeps working when you lose reception.
Is Ridge a replacement for resort signage?
No. Ridge is a recreational navigation tool. Always follow local signage, closures and resort rules, and ski within your ability.
What's included in Ridge+?
- Multi route planning
- Offline maps, access anywhere
- Save your favourite runs
- Create routes and save them for later
- Weather at the resort
Choose a Day, Week or Season Pass. Prices are shown in the app before you buy.
How do I restore my purchase?
Ridge doesn't use accounts, so Ridge+ is linked to your Apple ID. If you reinstall the app or change phone, use Restore Purchases in the app.
How do I cancel a Season Pass?
Go to iOS Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions. Turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Day and Week Passes don't renew, so there's nothing to cancel. They simply end.
Can I get a refund?
All purchases are handled by Apple, so refunds are requested from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Does Ridge collect my personal data?
Ridge doesn't ask for your name, email or phone number, and your location stays on your phone. We use anonymous analytics to improve the app, which you can turn off at any time in Ridge's Settings > Analytics.
Read the Privacy Policy for the full details.
How do I report a bug or request a feature?
Email Ridge.Maps@outlook.com with as much detail as you can, such as the ski area, what you expected and what happened. Screenshots help too.
